Does Cegullah Publishing only do publishing?
Cegullah Publishing was the answer to the demand for books written by Rev. Dr. Jeanne Metcalf. Her students recognized her God-given understanding of the Bible and wanted her to make her materials available to everyone, everywhere. After much prayer and thought, Cegullah Publishing was created. After its creation, Jeanne’s book became available on Amazon to reach readers worldwide.
Does Cegullah Publishing publish authors other than Rev. Dr. Jeanne?
At this point, Cegullah Publishing does not publish other authors. Rev. Dr. Jeanne is a prolific author and it keeps her busy full time with writing and publishing her own works. However, plans for the future of Cegullah Publishing makes room to publish other authors.
What kind of materials does Cegullah Publishing publish?
Cegullah Publishing teams with Cegullah Apologetics Academy in order to bring to readers sound biblical materials. Cegullah Publishing presents e-books and textbooks, while the Apologetics Academy presents the full Bible Study with textbook and workbook.
Why does Cegullah Publishing use textbooks? Aren’t they boring or hard to read?
The type of textbook that Cegullah Publishing uses are not boring or hard to read. While each book contains good information, it is presented in paragraph format and reads more like a novel than a textbook. As you read through each chapter, you receive bite size pieces of information to make the learning process easier as scripture is expounded. In that manner, readers receive information much like they would if they were sitting in a church pew listening to an inspired gifted speaker.
What can I expect when I purchase a textbook from Cegullah Publishing?
Our customer base tells us that when people purchase either an e-book or textbook from us, they simply enjoy a good read of the book. Some say, they can’t put the book down once they begin to read it. Others say, they read and re-read the book, and each time they do, they receive more and more out of the book. Many readers marvel at the gift of God they see operative in Jeanne’s writings so that, in reading the book, they discover the deeper truths of scripture without struggling to receive them. Likewise, others report similar comments in that they love these textbooks because Jeanne writes with clarity, making difficult biblical passages clearly understood.
How did the textbook idea happen? Why not just write a plain book?
When Rev. Dr. Jeanne taught Bible Study, she began by giving her students written pages of homework to do, one lesson at a time. As students returned to class week by week, Jeanne would go over their homework. As she did, she would expound the scriptures and present the students with the deeper truths of God. Students found that they could not record the information she expounded quick or detailed enough. They asked Jeanne to give them notes so those truths could be revisited. By the study’s end, students had so many papers that they had a problem keeping things straight. Jeanne then compiled the notes into two manuscripts: one for the notes and one for the homework. She took those manuscripts to a local printer who printed copies of them. Students called the notes their textbook and the homework, their workbook. Thus, Jeanne’s Bible Studies became Bible courses complete with textbook and workbook.
Why does Jeanne write these books and what qualifies her to do it?
To answer this question, we must remember, that based on Ephesians 4:11-16, God desires that Messiah’s body, (those that believe in Messiah) be edified or encouraged to walk in victory above their circumstances. Furthermore, God desires His people to be established in the main doctrines of the faith, not abandoning those principles for new doctrines. To those ends, He appoints leaders into the offices of apostle, prophet, evangelist., pastor, or teacher.
To those who know Rev. Dr. Jeanne Metcalf, it is obvious that she walks in the spiritual office of a teacher as well as possesses many other spiritual gifts. These spiritual gifts, operating effectively in her life, began early in her Christian life. Just shortly after her road to Damascus salvation experience, Jeanne had a powerful visitation from God. During that visitation, Yeshua told her to get into studying His Word. At that time, He gave her a word of knowledge as to the location, day and time of the study group that He chose for her. Following His instructions, she found the study group exactly when and where He told her it would be. It was through that study group that Jeanne learned the Inductive Bible Study Method. Soon thereafter, the Lord told her to teach. She did and what she taught was not only well received but acknowleged as insightful, well-balanced and anointed.
Today, well over 40 years later, Jeanne still studies the Word, inductively and teaches it with a powerful anointing. In her private times, she still loves to call upon the Holy Spirit, and with her Bible in hand, grab her study tools and dig into the Word. While her doctorate degree relates to others her formal education, if you ask her, she will tell you that to encounter God through His Word is her greatest passion, and from that flows a desire to help others to do the same. Additionally, she continues to obey the command of the Lord to feed His sheep. This she does with gladness.
To sum things up, then, Jeanne writes to edify and make strong all Christian believers, everywhere. Her passion for the Word, her many years digging into it under the Holy Spirit’s guidance, and His command to her to feed His sheep qualifies her to do so.
