OUR PUBLISHING ARM

OUR HISTORY begins, earlier, in the life of our founder, Jeanne Metcalf:

Jeanne, an ordained minister since the early 1990’s, began writing and publishing books in a ministry named, Forward March! Ministries.  While functioning as a senior pastor in that ministry, Jeanne, as led by the Holy Spirit, authored bible studies with homework lessons just to help the many believers attending her Bible Study classes.

These students, hungry for the truth, gathered in Jeanne’s teaching room.  Even though many of these students had been walking out their Christian life for many, many years, (some of them seniors), they flocked to Jeanne’s teaching room to learn some practical, life giving principles of Christianity, that for some reason, they did not grasp earlier in their Christian walk.

To further the understanding of the Christian faith,  Jeanne prepared textbooks and workbook lessons for her students, to give them solid help to explore the scriptures and learn about their faith firsthand.  Additionally, she gave hand outs in class to help further the student’s understanding.  Then, in 2020 when Covid19 hit Canada, due to government mandates, churches and ministries, reluctantly, closed their doors.  Immediately, with much experience in teaching and writing, but little experience in technology, Jeanne, concerned about the faith walk of her students, transformed her teaching skills from onsite training to online learning. She learned zoom, purchasing the business model.  Then, she contacted her students over the phone, help them download the Zoom client, register with Zoom, and then be part of her online community.  She ran courses over zoom using her written material, often using FedEx to get the needed course materials to her students, and using other methods to service her overseas online students.   Her major goal was to see her listeners stabilized in their faith so they could walk through this hard time of Covid19 with a measure of peace.

To achieve this goal, she reinforced her listeners faith base, teaching students how to handle a crisis, how to ensure good mental health throughout the crisis.  She encouraged them to contact their friends and family on zoom, too, especially those people they knew lived alone.  Some listeners who attended Zoom classes lived within the various provinces in Canada and some in other nations around the world.

During that pandemic time, Jeanne delivered some powerful and inspiring messages.  While this worked well through the shutdown times, it left much room for improvement, especially regarding printing and delivery time of Bible Study materials.

Shortly, thereafter, the Lord spoke to Jeanne to set up a publishing company, using the Hebrew name, Cegullah, meaning special treasure or Jewel.   Thus, Cegullah Publishing came into existence.  Soon, using Amazon to put books in the hands of her students, nationally and internationally, Jeanne’s materials now had the needed platform to reach students in other nations.

Not too long after the publishing arm developed, following the Lord’s lead, Jeanne opened an Apologetic Academy.  After all, the term apologetics sums up the content of the books she had written over the years.
