Our Secure Faith Heritage

It has been my custom that near the beginning in every book I write, I use a story from my own life. This is my habit because, partly, sharing a personal story helps readers to know a little bit about the author, but mostly, each person who walks with God has amazing ways in which our God directs us. From His direction and the lessons learned, our life benefits, and as we share those lessons, others benefit, too.

This is the intent of the stories I share with you in the onset of every book, believing God to help you benefit from some of my own life’s lessons. Other chapters do not hold such a personal touch, so please enjoy the stories in my books, including this one, specifically chosen to help you in your faith walk with God.

OUR SECURE FAITH HERITAGE brings to the reader basic foundational principles of the Word of God to identify the needed pillars of faith to walk believers through this world. Knowing these principles help believers not only avoid the many snares and pitfalls of this life, but it gives opportunity to embrace the principles of the Word of God, thereby establishing Christian believers on solid ground.

Additionally, the principles brought forth and discussed in this book give ample evidence of the sturdy foundation upon which all believers must stand. These principles, God designed and God-given, stood over the centuries in the lives of other believers. These proved them to be a stabilizing and strengthening influence, to bring believers from earth to eternity.

In short, these faith principles, recapped in this book, come as a helping hand to give believers a firm foundation upon which to walk out their faith life. As you study them, embrace them. Wherever necessary let them build your faith, or if need be, reaffirm, or realign any place where your foundation might be shaky .

Turn this book’s pages, dear reader. Study its scriptures. Explore what God put in place to give you a firm foundation, as you walk with Him throughout your lifetime upon this earth. Learn and embrace God’s principles, concepts, promises and precepts expounded in this book. Cling to them with a tight and firm grip. Constantly and intimately, connect with the One Who gave His life to redeem you. Ardently, seek God to give you a heart to perceive, eyes to see and ears to hear regarding all that God has for you.

Do this, and you will strengthen your faith with an unshakeable foundation as you utilize the principles and concepts of the Word of God. As you do, you’ll experience God’s faithfulness as He helps you to stay the course through every event you encounter, as long as you live. Yes, God’s ability to walk with His children through diverse circumstances throughout the ages, the Bible captures for ardent learners.

As you study the faith principles laid out in this book, remember earlier saints understood them, too. These saints, in years gone by, embraced God and His principles, holding on to them to their very last breath. Some died by natural means, while others experienced torture or martyrdom. Whatever the manner in which these saints died, their earthly body perished, but as that life ended it gave way to the eternal life promised by the Living God.

These amazing examples of the faith, as recorded throughout the Bible, clung to the mighty God of Israel. He stood by them, lifting them above their circumstances, proving His credibility. Furthermore, these saints demonstrated that when God and His principles for living form your foundation, it proves solid. Indeed, that very foundation proved immovable, yes, unalterable in their life’s circumstances. That amazing foundation upheld them through every challenge and circumstance that life upon this earth threw at them.

These dear saints, saw God’s faithfulness to His Word, His promises and His principles.

Indeed, their solid foundation formed by their relationship with God, brought them through it all! He gave them the victory! That victory which brought them eternal rewards, we can also receive by holding to that same foundation of the faith.

Dear reader, what these saints knew and lived out, the faith heritage recorded in the Word of God, each believer today can and must know, also. The God, Who helped these saints of old form their foundation, Who helped them build each precept upon precept, Who walked with them through this life every step of the way as they acknowledged Him, has not changed! He is the same God, Who reaches out to all who call upon His Name!

Indeed, what He did for these saints of old.
He stands ready to do for you!
